Respect by Solus at Erasure in Cork

Cork‘s 7th Annual array of Marquee gigs saw the usual big name artists being joined by a group of digital artists, illustrators and graffiti artists to produce ‘Live Artistic Interpretations’ of highlight performances. The idea is we got young up and coming artists to watch the gigs and paint their representation of it which we filmed with a timelapse camera.

Thinkhouse recorded the creative process as artists such as Paul Simon, Erasure, Bell X1 and Fleet Foxes had their performances reviewed in ‘art form’. Included below is the work of Loreana Rushe, Kathy Burke, Shane Mc Kenna, Solus and Edward Lacey.

WWIII

The Whitewash III live street art event, took place at the Millennium Court Art Centre in Portadown on June 3rd. The latest graffiti gig in the Whitewash series turned out to be a great day with a good crowd and some brilliant pieces. Kieran McAlinden did a great job of portraying the mood on the day in the photos below. Keep an eye out on IrishStreetArt.com this week for an update on Whitewash IV taking place this weekend in Bangor, Co. Down.

The time lapse video below is shows Hawkie painting at Whitewash III
