ADW was another Irish street artist who has had quite a successful year in 2010 with his first solo exhibition relieving rave reviews and his work featuring in a number of Irish publications. In this time-lapse footage ADW pieces together ‘Step up to the Plate’ in the ‘Good Food Gallery’, where the Dublin based artist held a mini solo exhibition in October 2010. Building up quite a reputation for his political commentary, ADW brings us a stencil of the two Brians. We think it’s a great reflection of just how the public sees our so called leaders these days! Taken in Lower Mountpleasant Ave in Rathmines, Dublin.

By all accounts ‘Stensual‘ the ADW exhibition that took place in The Back Loft, Dublin was a complete success. Here are a few photos of the opening night taken by Emma Casey.

According to Donna Kiernan from La Catedral Studios ‘The exhibition was a huge success especially considering it was his first solo show. There were loads of people there for the opening on Thursday (15th)and a lot of interest from the press. ADW got reviews all over the place – MetroHerald, Irish Independent and The Daily Mail. He ended up selling about half of the work on the night.’

‘The work was classically slick, smart and hilarious. My personal favourites were “Don’t Pass Go” with the monopoly man being dragged away by the gardai and Mary Harney ala Charlotte’s Web dreaming about Colonel Sanders which is stencil directly on our wall and we now get to keep here forever.’
